Caring for a loved one is a rewarding yet challenging journey. It’s not always easy, and sometimes, it can leave you feeling physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausted—this is called caregiver burnout.

What is Caregiver Burnout?
Caregiver burnout is the state of exhaustion that occurs when caregivers don't get the support they need. It's like trying to fill cups from an empty jug. If you're feeling overwhelmed, you're not alone. Your feelings are valid, and it's okay to need help.

Signs of Burnout:
It’s important to recognize the signs early. These may include:

  • Lower tolerance for stress

  • Constant tiredness

  • Sleep issues

  • Irritability or anxiety about caregiving tasks

  • Neglecting your own needs

 Self-Care Tips:
Taking care of yourself is crucial. Here are a few ideas to help you recharge:

  • Take daily time for yourself—whether it’s reading, walking, or praying

  • Get enough rest

  • Eat a balanced diet

  • Stay active with regular exercise

  • Connect with others and share your experiences
